Motorhome Area by the Sea in Hérault

Motorhome Area by the Sea in Hérault – Just 800 m from the Mediterranean, Zero Compromise

The Hérault Coast, Just as It Should Be

The Hérault coastline is often known for being heavily developed. That's true in some areas. But Valras-Plage has preserved its authentic charm. No high-rise buildings, no overcrowded seafront—just early 20th-century villas and beach houses that have kept their original character.

Enjoy 4 kilometres of fine sandy beaches leading to the Orpellières Nature Reserve, a protected Natura 2000 site accessible only on foot or by bike.

This is where Hello Summer Inn has created its motorhome area: just 800 metres from the beach and 20 minutes by bike from Orpellières Beach.

Arrive Late, Leave Early, Never Miss a Thing

Our automatic check-in terminals operate 24/7. No need to book your arrival time or check in at reception.

Arrive whenever you like after a long journey, then head out at sunrise to enjoy the nature reserve before the crowds arrive.

The P1 motorhome area is open all year round.

Even better in the off-season: walk through Orpellières without the crowds, enjoy the warm Mediterranean Sea well into October, and buy freshly landed seafood every morning at Halles Marty Market.

Les Orpellières: the hidden natural gem locals love

Saltwater lagoons, reed beds, tamarisk woodland, sand dunes and an unspoilt beach create one of the region's most beautiful natural areas.

Depending on the season, you may spot flamingos, herons and kingfishers.

No facilities. No entrance fee. No cars.

From Hello Summer Inn, the cycle path follows the Orb River and leads directly to the reserve.

Choose between:

  • a 4 km circular walk for a peaceful morning outing
  • an 8 km circular route reaching the wild beach for a longer day of exploration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the motorhome area open during winter?
Yes. The P1 motorhome parking area is open 365 days a year, including winter. Electricity is available as an optional extra for heating. The P2 Comfort Area operates from April to October.

Are there surf spots in Valras-Plage?
Yes. The northern section of Valras-Plage, outside the supervised swimming area, offers excellent conditions for surfing and paddleboarding when the sea breeze picks up. During the season, equipment rental shops are available along the seafront.

Can you access Les Orpellières by campervan or motorhome?
No. Motor vehicles are not permitted inside the nature reserve. Access is only possible on foot or by bicycle from the surrounding area. This protected access is precisely what makes Les Orpellières such an exceptional natural destination.
